Kids Run Wild offers fun, active outdoor experiences for families to explore nature through the sport of orienteering. Our programs are designed as independent family activities, meaning parents and children participate together. Regardless of age, we strongly encourage full family involvement.

Each session runs for approximately one hour and uses a sliding start window. Families may arrive and check in anytime between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM, giving you flexibility with your evening schedule and allowing participants to complete activities at their own pace.

Activities typically include multiple course options so families can choose the level of physical or navigational challenge that suits them best.

Program Options: Families may register for any of the following.

  • Tuesday Evenings – East Edmonton: Tuesday evening programs in East Edmonton parks begin on either April 7 (5‑week session) or May 19 (5‑week session), with the option to register for the full 10‑week program OR choose a 5‑session Flex Pass to attend the nights that work best for your family.
  • Thursday Evenings – South / West Edmonton: Thursday evening programs in West Edmonton parks begin on either April 9 (5-week session) or May 21 (5-week session), with the option to register for the full 10-week program OR choose a 5-session Flex Pass to attend the nights that work best for your family.

BONUS SESSION: All program registrations made by April 20, 2026 also include a special Saturday session at Cooking Lake / Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area on May 2, 2026.

Fee Structure: EOOC membership is no longer required, but households with an Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club (EOOC) 2026 membership receive discounted program pricing. All participating family members must be included on the membership.

  • $55 — 5‑session Flex Pass
