Kids Run Wild is offering activities for families to explore nature through the sport of orienteering.  Our programs are currently run as independent family activities.  Therefore, regardless of participants age, we strongly encourage family participation.

Our programs run approximately one hour in length, with a sliding start time frame.  The sliding start allows families the ability to arrive onsite and check-in anytime from 6:00PM – 6:30PM.  This provides our families with more flexibility regarding starting time and ensures that participants can complete activities at their own pace.

Our activities typically include options to increase the physical or mental challenge associated with our sport.

Families have the option of registering for:

  • Tuesday evening programs in West Edmonton parks starting either April 1st (5-weeks) or May 14th (5-weeks) OR for the full 10-week program.
  • Thursday evening programs in East Edmonton parks starting either April 3rd (5-weeks) or May 16th (5-weeks) OR for the full 10-week program.

Program fees: $45 for 5-week program or $80 for 10-week program, plus cost of EOOC household membership. If payment is issued online, online processing fees are also applicable.

Grant Funding: For Spring 2025 our Kids Run Wild Family Programs have access to Every Kid Can Play (EKCP) Grant funding through the Alberta Government. The Every Kid Can Play Grant is designed to address affordability and accessibility challenges to sport, physical activity, and recreation (SPAR) programs for Alberta kids and their families. The Government of Alberta, Sports, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) program supports Alberta’s non-profit sport system to deliver affordable access to sport and recreation opportunities.

A 2025 Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club household membership is required to participate in this program. To purchase a 2025 Household Membership, please use this link: Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club 2025 | Zone4 Online Registration
