Did you know? Kids Run Wild and the Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club are both part of the same organization—but they offer different ways to experience the sport of orienteering.
Kids Run Wild programs are built especially for youth and families, offering seasonal sessions focused on skill-building, teamwork, and outdoor fun in a supportive environment. These programs typically explore a smaller, more contained area than the Wednesday drop-in events—perfect for younger participants as they build confidence and navigation skills, or older youth looking to explore a bit more on their own, all while discovering the joy of outdoor adventure.
Edmonton Overlanders Wednesday Drop-In Orienteering sessions are a flexible, come-when-you-can option open to all ages and experience levels. Each week, participants can choose from three thoughtfully designed courses—a short/easier option, a medium course, and a long one—so everyone from first-timers to experienced orienteers can find the challenge that suits them. These relaxed, welcoming events take place in new locations across the city and in surrounding communities throughout the season. Whether you’re looking for a structured family program or spontaneous mid-week outdoor fun, both options bring the joy of orienteering to our community!
